The Port of Burgas Tuesday announced that it has ended the 2025 financial year with a positive financial result of EUR 18,000, after deducting all expenses including taxes and fees. This is the company's first reported profit after two consecutive years of losses.

In 2023, the state-owned operator recorded a loss of BGN 1.4 million, which in 2024 was significantly reduced to BGN 488,000. The company pointed out that among the main measures that contributed to improving the financial situation are the optimization of the tariff policy by updating the prices of cargo processing and storage services, active dialogue with shippers in order to attract larger volumes of cargo, as well as effective cost management.

The annual financial report and quarterly reports of Port of Burgas are public and are available on the website of the Public Enterprises and Control Agency.
