Glavatarski Han Hotel Complex, located on the shores of the Kardzhali Reservoir, is designated as a wellness centre and is a popular choice both for relaxation and business conferences and private celebrations.

The most popular services at the hotel’s spa centre are the massages and the hammam.

The centre also offers a sauna, steam bath, jacuzzi, and cold plunge pool for relaxation and rejuvenation. The complex is annually renovated and stands out for its architecture and views of the reservoir, the hotel management told BTA.

The team said there is an increased interest in early bookings for the summer among both Bulgarian and foreign guests, including visitors from Greece and Turkiye.

The area is also a popular choice for wedding celebrations. Last year Glavatarski Han hosted Bulgarian and foreign weddings. Two conference halls with a capacity for 100 and 700 people provide facilities for business meetings and training sessions.

The complex relies on cultural and historical tourism as well, given its proximity to iconic landmarks in the area, such as the Thracian city of Perperikon, the Utroba Cave, the Devil’s Bridge, and the natural rock formations known as the Petrified Wedding and the Stone Mushrooms.

The hotel offers accommodations that combine modern amenities with homely comfort. Guests have access to a renovated fitness centre, a summer bar, and five pools, including an outdoor heated one.

BTA presents news from certified spa, wellness, and medical spa centres in Bulgaria in its BG SPA: Salus per aquam, Health Through Water feature. Their total number exceeds 200. The initiative, organized in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism and the Bulgarian Union of Balneology and SPA Tourism, is linked to Europe's leading health tourism event, the HEALTHXCHANGE SUMMIT, which will be held from May 11 to 13, 2026, in Varna, Sts. Constantine and Helena, Golden Sands, and Albena. BTA will be the event's main media partner.
