The Rose and Saffron. Delicious Dishes of Bulgaria Culinary Festival is among the highlights of culinary and craft events included in the programme of this year's Rose Festival in Kazanlak, the local administration said on Tuesday. 

The festival will be held on June 6 at the Museum of Photography and includes demonstrations, tastings and meetings with established master chefs who will present characteristic recipes and innovative approaches to familiar flavors. On the same day, The Edge of the Trial tournament will take place at the Valley of the Thracian Kings Archaeological Complex, the Kazanlak Municipality noted. The event will present spectacular demonstrations inspired by ancient practices in metalworking and the fighting traditions of the Thracians.

On June 7, residents and guests of the town will be able to visit the Festival of Bulgarian Crafts at the Chudomir Literary and Art Museum. It will offer a diverse programme of demonstrations, creative workshops and interactive experiences. The Kazanlak Mezi traditional festival of Balkan culture and cuisine will also be held on the same day.

On June 6 and 7, the 15th Rose Wine Expo will present the best rose wines, as well as other drinks and gourmet foods at the Iskra - 1860 Community Centre. 

The events aim to popularize Bulgarian culinary and craft traditions and promise to bring a lot of creative inspiration and shared emotions, the organizers added.

The Rose Festival in Kazanlak will be held from June 5 to 7, accompanied by a rich musical programme with over 30 concerts.
