Delyan Peevski, leader of Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) - New Beginning, paid tribute to "the courage and the Bulgarian spirit" on the occasion of May 6, the Day of Valour and the Bulgarian Armed Forces.

In a message published on Facebook, Peevski said Bulgarians bow their heads before those "who defended and protected our homeland".

He noted that May 6 is a holiday respected by all religions and ethnic groups and described it as "a celebration of renewal, carrying the hope for a better future".

Peevski also congratulated all servicemen and women and everyone celebrating their name day, wishing that Saint George bring "health, peace, prosperity and faith in goodness".
