The President of the State of Israel, Isaac Herzog and the King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, H.H. Abdullah II congratulated in a telephone conversation the former President of Bulgaria (2017-2026) and current chair of the Progressive Bulgaria coalition, Rumen Radev, on his victory in the parliamentary elections, the party press service said here Monday.

During the conversation, Herzog highlighted the traditions in the bilateral relations between the Republic of Bulgaria and the State of Israel and wished Rumen Radev success in his highly responsible activities.

King Abdullah II expressed his expectation for the subsequent deepening of friendly relations between Bulgaria and the Kingdom of Jordan after the formation of a regular Bulgarian government, including within the framework of the "Aqaba Process", which Sofia hosted in April 2025.

During the conversation with Abdullah II, Rumen Radev expressed his concern about the ongoing military conflict in the Middle East region and welcomed the diplomatic efforts of the Kingdom of Jordan to end the hostilities, the party press service said.
