Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) leader Krum Zarkov said in Silistra that his party expects an "unexpectedly good result" in the upcoming elections, during a meeting with voters alongside candidates from the BSP - United Left list.
Zarkov said the campaign had taken place under conditions of an "unfair contest", but had demonstrated the resilience of left-wing voters and support for the party nationwide.
He stressed that BSP offers a different model of political conduct and parliamentary work, adding that the way political power is achieved directly affects how it is exercized and the responsibility to voters. He criticized the socio-economic policies of recent governments as insufficient to address systemic problems, calling for changes in key sectors such as healthcare and education.
Zarkov also highlighted regional disparities, pointing to Silistra as an example, and said development should reach all parts of the country.
He urged voters to support BSP, saying the party would work for a fairer distribution of public resources and changes in governance.
