site.btaTodor Anastasov Appointed Chair of Road Infrastructure Agency Board

Todor Anastasov has been appointed Management Board Chair of the Road Infrastructure Agency, the agency said on its official website on Monday.

Anastasov’s predecessor, Stoyan Nikolov, was relieved of his post by order of caretaker Regional Development and Public Works Minister Nikolay Naydenov.

Anastasov is a transport construction engineer who graduated from the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy and has experience in the design, construction and supervision of roads and infrastructure facilities, the statement said.

He previously served as Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Public Works, overseeing the Road Infrastructure Agency. Anastasov has also held senior positions at the Central Laboratory of Roads and Bridges.

Nikolov had taken over the post in late February on an acting basis, pending the appointment of a permanent head, under an order by Angelina Boneva. Boneva subsequently resigned as caretaker regional development minister in early March.

Before Nikolov’s appointment, the position had been held by Yordan Valchev.
