WizzAir will open flight routes from Varna, on the Black Sea, to Barcelona, Athens, Paris Beauvais, Debrecen and Gdansk from June 15, Fraport Twin Star Airport Management said on Friday.

Thus, the number of destinations WizzAir will operate from Varna Airport in the summer will increase to 23, noted Fraport, which is the concessionaire of the airports in Varna and Burgas. Wizz Air is preparing the launch of several more routes that will connect Varna with Rome, Warsaw, Katowice, Wroclaw, Budapest and Larnaca. The airline will base a third aircraft in Varna as well.

Flights to Paris Beauvais will be operated on Wednesdays and Sundays, while flights to Barcelona will take place on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The flight connection between Varna and Athens will mark the first time the two cities will have a regular summer connection, with WizzAir to operate flights to the capital of Greece on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Flights to Debrecen will take place on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, while the connection between Varna and Gdansk will be operated on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
