Bulgaria will be left without clarity on paying wages and pensions if no budget extension law is passed, CC-DB co-Floor Leader Nikolay Denkov told reporters on Monday.

It is very important for the extension law to be passed, he said.

"We assume the caretaker finance minister knows best what the calculations show and what is possible, so we will support whatever they submit," Denkov added.

Asked whether he would support the proposal by the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) – New Beginning to include Easter bonuses for pensioners in the budget, Denkov said this should be handled by a regular government. “It is reasonable, and I accept it as a long-term policy, but now is not the time. It is clear that this is being done for electoral purposes,” Denkov said.
