"Today we pay tribute to the heroism and self-sacrifice of all those who won Bulgaria’s freedom and laid the foundations of the modern Bulgarian State. March 3 is a day of historical memory, national dignity, and responsibility toward the future," the Alliance for Rights and Freedoms (ARF) wrote on its Facebook page.

“Let us safeguard freedom as our highest value, strengthen democracy, and work together for a more just, united, and prosperous Bulgaria,” the party added.

On the occasion of March 3, ARF extends greetings to all Bulgarian citizens.

Bulgaria marks the 148th anniversary of its Liberation on Tuesday, with events dedicated to the national holiday taking place across the country.
