Vintage Car and Motorcycle Parade Brings Nearly 300 Participants from Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia to Ruse

Nearly 300 participants from Bulgaria, Romania, and Serbia took part in the 12th edition of the vintage car and motorcycle parade that was held in Ruse on Saturday, BTA learned from Ruschuk Auto-Moto Club Chair Dessislava Vassileva. She organized the event together with the Ruse-City of the Free Spirit Municipal Foundation. The vehicles were lined up along an alley in Youth Park.

Among the oldest cars in the parade were a 1928 Essex Super Six and a DKW F5, manufactured in 1936.

Vassileva told BTA that visitors could get a close-up look at classic cars and motorcycles from different decades and continents. "This is a colorful event suitable for all ages. Some people discover cars they once dreamed of owning, or have admired on the streets, and have witnessed the innovations of some of these models. And the youngest visitors see vehicles that only exist in movies, and with wonder discover brands that older people know all too well. The great thing is that everyone leaves with a smile, and there is something for everyone," said Vassileva.

There was also a supporting programme during the parade. Young talents from Ruse, representing various clubs affiliated with the Municipal Youth Centre, performed on stage, as did a Romanian dance group. There were also activities for the youngest attendees, including drawing, model building, and games.
