site.btaSkopje Police Arrest Suspect in Arson Attack on Bulgarian Diplomatic Vehicles

Police in Skopje have arrested a 44-year-old man for whom there are reasonable grounds to suspect that he is the perpetrator who set fire to two diplomatic vehicles outside the Bulgarian Embassy earlier in the day, North Macedonia's Interior Ministry said on Monday.

The man, identified by the initials I.D., is from Skopje and is currently being held at a police station.

"The clothes worn by the individual during the commission of the crime have also been found. In coordination with the competent prosecutor, measures are being taken to fully clarify the case, after which the appropriate criminal charges will be brought against the individual under expedited proceedings," the Interior Ministry said in a statement.
