site.btaGERB-UDF's Georg Georgiev Calls for New Political Dialogue Ahead of Incoming Government

Georg Georgiev of GERB-UDF expressed hope for a new dialogue between political parties and a different approach to politics ahead of the expected formation of a new government later this week.

"A cabinet must be in place by the end of this week, and from that point onward come the responsibilities toward it," Georgiev told journalists, adding that the State and its institutions must continue functioning.

"I hope for a new dialogue between the parties and a new way of doing politics," he said.

Georgiev noted that public expectations were high, particularly regarding the state budget, which he described as the most pressing issue.

"We have presented our proposals and hope they will be considered constructively," he said.

He added that if the wish for an end to the political crisis is fulfilled, both the governing parties and GERB-UDF as a "constructive opposition" must be ready to meet the expectations of their voters.
