Yes, Bulgaria will not support the future government of Progressive Bulgaria because it is in opposition, the party'’s co-leaders Ivaylo Mirchev and Bozhidar Bozhanov told journalists on Wednesday, adding that they would closely monitor whether the cabinet follows through on what they described as a public mandate to dismantle the current governing model.

"We are in opposition and therefore cannot support the government. We will be constructive, but we will monitor whether the government deviates from the mandate given to it by Bulgarian citizens to dismantle the model," the two said.

Mirchev added that it was still too early to comment in detail before the composition of the cabinet becomes clear.

"There is a very clear mandate from the Bulgarian people and an enormous responsibility for the government," he said, warning that the party would take a tough stance if anyone attempted to preserve the existing model instead of dismantling it.
