Eastern therapies and hammam rituals are attracting strong interest from guests at Astor Garden Hotel, SPA Manager Nikolay Popov told BTA in the Sts Constantine and Helena seaside resort near Varna. He said that the hotel is directly linked to the Aqua House Thermal & Beach complex.

Popov said the complex introduces new services each year to stimulate tourist interest and enrich the visitor experience. Modern guests seek variety and new sensations, and hospitality providers aim to meet these expectations, he added. According to him, the complex offers opportunities to improve both mental and physical well-being.

Guests who do not opt for treatments can use a wide range of pools, including those for lap swimming. Tailored packages are available to match individual needs, alongside a variety of beauty treatments, Popov said.

He said that massage programmes are applied more cautiously for clients who have undergone cosmetic procedures. In cases of plastic surgery or other invasive interventions, high humidity and steam should be avoided, making hammam rituals unsuitable. The same applies to traditional massages, he added, although certain approaches from Chinese medicine may still be appropriate.

Many visitors seek aromatherapy due to its rapid effect on the body, often combining it with other treatments, Popov said.

Guests can also benefit from mud therapy, while the management is considering introducing algae-based treatments, given their health benefits and the natural availability of seaweed.
