site.btaTreti Mart Top Candidate in Stara Zagora Yankova Presents Her Priorities for Region

Boyanka Yankova, top-of-the-list candidate of the Treti Mart [March 3] coalition in Stara Zagora, presented her priorities for the regional city here on Thursday, the coalition said in a press release. Yankova highlighted energy independence, a decent standard of living in rural areas, and a return to traditional values as her main causes.

“I will not allow the Maritsa East complex -the heart of Bulgaria’s energy sector - to be sacrificed to foreign interests. We will defend every job, because that is Stara Zagora’s bread and butter,” Yankova stated. 

She added that beyond energy, the candidates from the coalition in Stara Zagora are focusing on issues related to infrastructure, accessibility, and agriculture. Yankova said that a new interchange with the Trakia Motorway is needed, as well as real accessibility for people with disabilities and the elderly to every municipality and hospital. Supporting small cooperatives and local producers is also a priority for us, the candidate said. 

Yankova stated that as an MP, she sees herself as the direct bridge between Stara Zagora and the legislative branch.
