The Executive Agency for Bulgarians Abroad management met with Argentine singer, musician, and choir conductor Julia Arbos, who is leading the Bulgarian community folk song choir in Berisso, Argentina, the Agency reported on Wednesday.

The meeting took place at the Agency's headquarters in Sofia and was attended by the Agency Executive Director Raina Mandzhukova, Deputy Director Yoanna Dragneva, Director of the Bulgarian Communities and Information Activities Directorate Valery Radolov, and Chief Expert Iva Krumova.

During the conversation, Arbos presented her work with the Bulgarian community in Argentina and spoke about her interest in Bulgarian folklore. The singer draws inspiration from the work of the Mystery of the Bulgarian Voices choir, which has motivated her to study Bulgarian folk music and its distinctive sound.

The singer is in Bulgaria for two and a half months, during which she will participate in training sessions, musical projects, and individual lessons dedicated to various aspects of the Bulgarian folk tradition. Her goal is to refine her knowledge and performance skills so that she can pass them on to the choir members of the Bulgarian community in Berisso.
