VOICE Association - Bosilegrad, together with Students' Community Centre "St. Kliment Ohridski" 1997 in Sofia, are making final preparations for the sixth edition of the International Plein Air "Bosilegrad in Color 2026", which will take place from July 12 to 19, 2026 in Bosilegrad, Serbia, the organizers of the event reported on Tuesday.

The official opening of the event will be at 6:30 p.m. local time on Monday, July 13. The celebration will be held on an open stage in the yard of the house, which also houses the office of the VOICE association, as well as the BTA national press club in Bosilegrad.

A total of 17 artists will participate in the sixth edition of the en plein air - seven from Bulgaria, five from North Macedonia and five from Serbia. The hosts will introduce the participants to local cultural and historical sites, and will organize a trip to Lake Vlasina. Artists who wish will also have the opportunity to visit the V.D. Maystora art gallery in Kyustendil, Western Bulgaria.

"It costs us a lot of money and effort to organize such an event in Bosilegrad, especially considering that so far we have always implemented the open-air event with our own funds. This year we hope to receive support from the Program for Support of Organizations of Bulgarian Communities, initiated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria, for which we recently submitted a project proposal. Traditionally, we have prepared various accompanying events to take place almost every evening, such as concerts, video screenings, artistic and cultural-educational presentations and demonstrations," the organizers of the open-air event told the Glaspress news website.

The official closing of the event will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 18, when a combined exhibition with the works created by all participants is scheduled to be unveiled.
