UPDATED Nearly 403 Kg of Heroin Seized at Turkish-Bulgarian Border
Heroin worth more than BGN 16.7 million was seized at the Kapitan Andreevo border control check point, the press centres of the Ministry of Finance and the Prosecution service reported on Saturday. The illegal drug weighing at 402,72 kg was hidden in 156 sleeping mattresses, which were being shipped in a truck by a Turkish national.

Council of Ministers decisions Bulgarian Posts to Provide Universal Postal Service for Five More Years
The period for which Bulgarian Posts is entrusted to provide universal postal service is extended by 5 years, according to draft amendments to the Postal Services Act. The bill is in implementation with the restructuring plan of Bulgarian Posts. The universal postal service was entrusted to Bulgarian Posts in 2010 for a period of 15 years. The envisaged changes fulfil the European Commission's requirement that the State has to ensure that Bulgarian Posts will provide the service of general economic interest for the entire duration of the restructuring plan.
