Sofia, February 26 (BTA) - Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) leader Kornelia Ninova met here on Tuesday with the ambassadors of EU Member States in Bulgaria, BSP said in a press release. Ninova presented to the diplomats her party's Vision for Europe platform for the upcoming European Parliament (EP) elections, as well as the Socialists' priorities for the EU's development.
BSP's leader also presented her party's arguments for leaving Parliament and expressed concern about the fairness of the election process in view of the recently adopted Election Code amendments. Socialist MP Elena Yoncheva's work on revealing corruption and the trial against her, which the Socialists view as political, were presented to the EU ambassadors as well.
The meeting was attended by BSP Deputy Chair Denica Slateva, MPs Kroum Zarkov, Georgi Svilenski, Kristian Vigenin, Elena Yoncheva and Pencho Milkov.
