President Radev Cables
Condolences to US Counterpart
over Pittsburgh Synagogue Shooting
Sofia, October 29 (BTA) - President Rumen Radev cabled condolences to his US counterpart Donald Trump over the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting, Radev's press secretariat said Monday.
On October 27, a 46-year-old gunman opened fire at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh during its Sabbath service, killing 11 people.
Radev sends his and the Bulgarian people's condolences to the victims' friends and relatives and wishes quick recovery to the wounded.
"The gross infringement on the freedom of religion has had devastating consequences over the centuries. The lessons from the past offer the best advice on how to avoid its repetition," Radev says.
