BTA Director General Elected BSANNA Chair

Nessebur, September 9 (BTA) - BTA Director General Maxim Minchev was elected Chairman of the Black Sea Association of National News Agencies (BSANNA). This happened at the 8th Annual Meeting of the organization in this Black Sea town. Participating in the forum were directors of more than 15 news agencies from the Black Sea region.

Minchev will succeed on this post Aram Ananyan from Armenia. BTA is a full member of BSANNA, set up back in 1995.

The Alliance of Mediterranean News Agencies and BSANNA signed a cooperation agreement at the forum.

Earlier in the day Nessebur Mayor Nikolai Dimitrov opened the forum and made a welcoming address to the participants. Dimitrov underscored that Nessebur is one of oldest world in Europe, being established more than 2,300 years ago, and has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List for 35 years.

BTA Director General Minchev said that Nessebur is one of the best places for recreation and cultural tourism in the world.
